CLASSIFICATION: Flexible Part Time                            STATUS:         Non-exempt

MINISTRY:             Communications MANAGER:    Lead Videographer

GENERAL WORK WEEK:  Monday – Friday    LOCATION:  Denton Studio


A mutually agreed upon schedule will be determined in conjunction with the new hire, manager, and HR.

JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:

The Video Editor will be a post-production specialist that is responsible for finalizing and delivering content. This content could include but is not limited to: weekend services, bumpers, stories, social media posts, etc. While being a post-production specialist, the Video Editor will also collaborate with the other members of the Communications team to help create and execute engaging content that will help people follow Jesus, find freedom, have someone to know, and something to do.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong experience in video editing applications including Adobe Creative Suite and DaVinci Resolve

Willing and open to change, be flexible in a variety of situations

A team player giving and receiving input, willing to compromise & cooperate

Exhibit clear and effective verbal and non-verbal communications skills

Able to develop people and systems to optimize growth and effectiveness

Forward thinker who assumes responsibility and takes initiative

Must possess a genuine humility and work well in the context of a team

Clearance of a criminal background check


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Must have the ability to learn new software/plugins quickly.

Ability to find concise ways to tell a story and/or give out information.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy while maintaining established deadlines

Must be aware of the ever-changing world of video production. Pays attention to the work of leading churches and creative agencies are producing.

Potentially work with a variety of contracted or vendor provided goods and services.

Work collaboratively with the Communications team when needed and independently when needed

WORK HOURS: 

The hours of work may vary within the 7:00 am – 7:00 pm work-window on a general basis.  The established work week is Sunday through Saturday for payroll purposes.  This role may be approved for a flex schedule which include the potential for 1-2 days remote working with the remainder of the workdays in-office.   A finalized schedule will be established with the Manager but typically falls within the general hours noted below.

The hours listed below are generalized work hours and may or may not be done in the office depending on the needs of the position and approval of the manager on any given day.  Employees must understand that  ministry does not always fall within a normal schedule and working outside of that schedule can periodically including weekends, evenings and holidays for CT sponsored events that are essential (required).  Additional hours outside the normal scope of the role such as these will be coordinated with the manager and may be accommodated with comp time and/or a temporary adjustment to the normal schedule.

General Hours - This generalized schedule allows for the flexibility needed to fulfill work in a ministry environment.  The expectation of a full-time employee is always 40 hours of work.  However, this is a part time role not to exceed 29 hours per week.  The number of hours per week is not guaranteed.  The hours must be maintained on a weekly Sunday-Saturday basis and not based upon pay period dates.  Failure to do so is a violation of your mutually agreed upon employment.  Schedule may vary but can include mid-week and weekend hours.

o Monday - Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

o Friday 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.

o Sunday 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. (hours will vary by need for Argyle Campus)

o Sunday 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. (hours will vary by need for the Hope Center)


WORK ENVIRONMENT – PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Position requires bending, stooping and stretching to file, and occasional lifting of boxes weighing up to 25 pounds. Work is generally performed indoors but may involve limited exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
